The cage incorporates a raised front piece that helps prevent your camera from twisting, as well as a rubber pad to help protect from metal-to-metal contact. The underside of the cage features both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes, as well as space to store the included magnetically attached allen key.
